2013 - 2014 Year Curriculum

Grading and Evaluation

 

  • Hours worked / 64 Hours                  =  64% of grade
    • Extra credit available at 1 point per 4 hours.  Maximum of 10 points of Extra Credit. With approval, hours can be used towards next semesterís class.
  • Wednesday Tech Seminar                  = 16% of grade                      
      • Attendance is required. Points can not be made-up.

     

  • Semester Project / Class activities    = 10% of grade          
      • Semester projects will be evaluated using a standard rubric. Certification and seminar assignments will be a part of the class activities grade.                                                                
  • TRT Evaluation                                  = 10% of grade
    • SWAT students will be assigned to a district TRT or other technology leader within each building.  TRTs will evaluate their SWAT using a standardized rubric to asses work skills.  SWAT are expected to communicate regularly with their assigned TRT concerning work projects, tickets, and expected absences.
  • Students who fail to attend 80% of required seminar classes and/or have a TRT evaluation below 75% will need to reapply and interview again for reacceptance into the SWAT program*.
  • Attendance at SWAT Camp is an expectation for participation in SWAT*.
    • A majority of training and certification happens at SWAT camp
  • Certification Note:  Certification in Computer Service Checklist in mid December.  This will be part of the Fall Semester Project grade.

100-90 A          80-89   B          70-79   C          60-69   D

* Administrators, Vocational Director, Tech Coordinator may waive this requirement as deemed necessary.
